The users can capture an image of the screen with the Samsung Galaxy 21 in multiple ways. Also, they can crop or edit the picture conveniently afterward.

The smartphone series of Samsung Galaxy S21 offers multiple ways to capture screenshots. These smartphone series launched by South Korean tech company will appeal to a large number of users. Taking screenshots will not be a big concern for the users because it’s a useful and excellent tool. Here is a brief description of how you take a screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy S21 smartphone.

The South Korean tech company Samsung launched its Galaxy S21 smartphone series at the Galaxy Unpacked press event on January 14. Samsung also launched its wireless earbuds’ latest edition, i.e., the Galaxy Buds Pro and its latest object finder, the Galaxy SmartTag, at this press event. The S21 series smartphone launched by this leading smartphone seller company includes the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the Galaxy S21, and the standard Galaxy S21.

Meanwhile, this S21 series of Samsung smartphones provide great ways to capture screenshots. The users can capture screenshots in multiple ways using these smartphone series. The simplest way that Galaxy S21 offers to capture screenshots is similar to many other Android phones. In this first method, the users need to press down the power and volume buttons simultaneously. You can find these buttons located on the device’s right side. When you press the buttons, the phone will capture a screenshot, and at the bottom of the screen, a small launch will appear to you, providing you the options to what to do with the captured image.

Further, a circle will appear with the photo’s preview allowing the users to view the captured image through an app. But, the launcher will let the users do whatever modification they want in the picture. For example, you can crop save the image with a hashtag, crop the captured image, or share it with your friends, family, colleagues, and others. While doing these things, some of these may need additional permissions. The users will be prompted to take permissions and need to approve in advance.

Some Other Ways to Take Screenshots

Much like the Note 20 and Galaxy S20 series, The Samsung Galaxy S21 smartphone series also offers many other ways to take screenshots. For example, the users can go to Settings and turn on the option “Palm swipe to capture.” You will then need to click on Advanced Features and then click on “Motions and Gestures” to find the toggle. However, the user should get the option even searching with “palm swipe,” but seeing it’s only a misnomer, the users will need to swipe from one side to another with the side of their hand and not with the palm to capture the image.

In practice, the image capturing features work very well. As the user is using the side of his hands instead of using his fingertips, other commands or apps may not be activated by accident. Once the user takes the screenshot, the launcher will appear to the user to choose what to do with the captured image.

The third way that the S21 smartphone series of Samsung offer is known as “Scroll capture.” With this feature, the users can expand the screenshot before capturing it. It’s an excellent solution for the people who want to capture the image stretching below the screen or a lengthy article’s photo on a website. The users can use the first two ways to capture the screenshot. When the launcher appears to them, the users will be given additional options to capture more images. The users will need to scroll down the button to make the screenshot longer. Further, the user can keep pressing the scroll button until it reaches the bottom, whether it’s an image, web page, app screen, or something else displayed. At last, the users can save the picture, crop it or share it with others also.

Most people are interested to invest in an Android phone because of its customization capability. You can customize almost everything on the phones, including ringtones and sounds.

Do you and your annoying coworker use the same ringtone on your Android? Well, it’s time to change it. How? We’ve got your back!

Using the Zedge App to Find and Set Ringtones

There are plenty of options to find and set ringtones; however, the Zedge app is the easiest of them all to use. The app enables you to customize and personalize your Android phone, primarily ringtones and wallpapers.

One downside of using the Zedge app is the number of ads that appear in between, but you can get the ad-free upgrade if you like using the app more often. You can begin by searching the ringtone and once you find the ideal sound, here’s how you can set the same:

  1. Open the ringtone’s detail screen and click on the ‘Set’ button.

  2. A number of options will open. Therefore, select the ‘Set Ringtone’ option.

  3. A pop-up menu will open. Tap on the ‘Allow’ button to begin downloading the ringtone on your phone.

  4. Tap on the ‘Settings’ option in the next pop-up menu, and you’ll be taken to the modify system settings page.

  5. Turn the slider on for the ‘Allow modify system settings’ option.

  6. Go back to the Zedge app by clicking the back button.

Once you’ve followed the steps correctly, a notification will appear at the bottom of the screen, telling you that the ringtone is applied.

Adding a Ringtone File Manually to the Ringtones Folder

If you have the ringtone that you want to use on your phone, all you’ll need to have is a file manager app. While some phones already have a file manager, others will require you to download one from the Play Store.

Therefore, the steps to manually add a ringtone to the ringtones folder are:

  1. Launch the ‘Downloads’ folder and press and hold on the ringtone.

  2. Click on the ‘Copy’ icon on top of the screen.

  3. Open the location menu by swiping in from the left edge.

  4. Click on the ‘Internal Memory’ option.

  5. Select the ‘Ringtones’ folder from the menu. In case you want to use the sound for the text tone or alarm, select the ‘Notifications’ folder.

  6. Click on the ‘Paste’ icon.

Once you’ve pasted the ringtone, it’ll appear instantly. However, if it doesn’t, reboot your phone and you’ll see the ringtone in the ‘Sounds’ menu.

Setting a Custom Ringtone in Settings

The steps to set a custom ringtone in settings are:

  1. Go to the ‘Settings’ app.

  2. Locate the ‘Sounds’ tab and click on the same. If there’s no Sound tab available, search ‘Ringtones’ in the search bar.

  3. Click on the ‘Phone Ringtone’ option in the next window.

  4. If the prompt appears saying ‘Open with’ or ‘Complete action using’ option, select the ‘Sound Picker’ app in place of a file manager or Zedge.

  5. Select the custom ringtone added in the ringtones folder.

  6. Click on the ‘Save’ or ‘Ok’ option.

Using a Custom Ringtone for a Contact

You can assign a separate ringtone to each of your contacts. Therefore, it’ll also become easy for you to figure out the caller when your phone is kept away from you. So, the steps to set and use a custom ringtone for your contacts are:

  1. Launch the ‘Contacts’ app on your Android device.

  2. Locate and open the contact for which you want to set the custom ringtone.

  3. Tap on the ‘ellipses’ icon in the upper-right corner of the window.

  4. Select the ‘Set Ringtone’ option from the pop-up menu.

  5. Select the ringtone you added to the ringtones folder.

  6. Click on the ‘Ok’ or ‘Save’ button.

Setting a Custom Notification Sound in Settings App

Now that you’ve changed the ringtone, why not change the notification sound as well? If you have a notification sound that you want to set, add the same to the Notifications folder. Further, the steps to set up the notification sound are:

  1. Launch the ‘Settings’ app.

  2. Click on the Sound/ Sound and Display/ Personalization tab.

  3. Click on the ‘Default Notification Sound’ option in the next window.

  4. Tap on the custom notification sound added to the Notifications folder.

  5. Click on the ‘Ok’ or ‘Save’ button.

This is it! Have you found the perfect ringtone or notification sound to set up on your Android phone? If yes, don’t wait anymore and make your device more fun by using these customized sounds.

One company that has experimented a lot with its Android devices and still stands at a great position in the market is Samsung. This year was a huge success for the company as it released its top-tier flagship phones, including Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series. Not only this, but it entered into the foldable market and launched Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold 2. However, Galaxy S20 FE is the icing on the cake.

Glass Durability for Foldable Phones

You must have heard about Samsung discontinuing the Galaxy Note family multiple times. However, it didn’t happen that way,it seems like the company is pretty sure about doing the same in 2021.

An S Pen support across devices will be replacing the Note, and the idea is quite exciting. If Samsung is looking forward to introducing the S Pen support, they should find a way to improve the toughness of its UltraThin Glass.

The Z Fold 2 uses an improved plastic screen from the original Galaxy Fold; however, the durability still needs to be improved. Samsung started installing a screen protector to keep its screen from scratches or dent, but it worsened the touch-experience.

It is essential to mention that if Samsung is planning to include an S Pen along with the Z Fold 3, it needs to improve its UTG.

Come Up with a Competitor of a True Pixel 4a

Samsung’s one of the most awaited phones in 2020 was the Galaxy S20 FE. It offered the same experience as the Galaxy S20 at a much lower price. However, a $700 phone is still not a low-cost phone that many people were looking forward to get but couldn’t.

The market was highly dominated by cheaper phones, including the Pixel 4a and Moto G Power this year. Therefore, Samsung must come up with a phone in 2021 that gives a tough competition to others.

Prime Focus on Sustainability

If you’re a follower of Apple and Google, you must have noticed that the two companies made a great push towards sustainability. For instance, many components of the iPhone 12 are made of recycled earth elements. On the other hand, Google’s Nest Audio smart speaker is made from recycled bottles.

Undoubtedly, Samsung has made efforts to make its products more sustainable, but it has still not reached the level of its competitors. Thus, there is a lot more the company can do to increase the sustainability of its devices, and it is expected that Samsung will make an effort towards the same in 2021.

No More Curved Display

All the new phones introduced by Samsung in 2020 had curved displays, including the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra. These curves were unliked by the majority of the people and it is expected that the company comes up with devices featuring flat screens in the future.

There are rumors about Galaxy S21 returning with the flat edges. Not only this, but it is expected that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 2 will stick to the flat edges just as their previous models.

A Chromebook Under $1000

Chromebook Plus V2 was a device introduced by Samsung two years back. It was one of the best Chromebooks of the time with a high-quality display, speedy performance, and more at just $499.

However, the company did not launch any other Chromebook after that until this year when Samsung flaunted its $1000 Galaxy Chromebook. Notably, the sale of Chromebooks increased in 2020 because of being an amazing alternative to Windows and Mac, but everyone’s looking forward to an affordable version in 2021.

Three Year Updates for All Other Phones

While Samsung launched its Note 20, it also promised a three-year update for many phones and tablets. However, you’ll also notice many phones missing from the list of getting these updates, including the Galaxy M and Galaxy F phones.

Samsung bringing updates to its phones is a huge thing, but only if you buy a mid or high-tier phone. Therefore, the company must extend the update system to its low-cost Galaxy phones as well.

These are the expected improvements that the company might bring after listening to its users. However, there’s still no official word about the same. So, are you excited to see what Samsung has got to offer in the new year?
