Mahershala Ali starrer “True Detective Season 3” ended on February the 24th, 2021, a few months before the final season of Game of Thrones also bid farewell to the streaming service HBO. Since then, HBO is itching to create a series, which can pull the audience in gigantic numbers, and they really want to bank on the success of Game of Thrones and True Detective.

Now, a recent report, also published by a very reliable Deadline, has alluded to the fact that the giant streaming house HBO is currently in talks with some credible writers to find a new script or a voice for the violent crime show.

A fourth season of the fabled modern show “True Detective,” which may be considered the second-best franchise during the last decade, might be re-launched for another season as the top streaming service, currently owning the franchise, are in conversation with some credible writers to find a story for the re-launch.

The show was created by Nic Pizzolatto, and it did have a run on the streaming service for three seasons spanning five years, i.e., 2014 to 2019.

It was clear from Casey Bloys’ statement to Deadline that HBO is still not done with True Detective and is anticipating that the streaming company will figure out a way to get the series back.

Right now, their task is to find writers, who can deliver a good script, and Casey Bloys’ did suggest the fact that the company is in communication with multiple writers to find the right pitch and tone for the story.

Bloys also added that the company wants to move away from the old voice and wants to find a new way of telling a crime story. Casey Bloys also added that the script should not only be of high-quality but should also be creative enough. HBO does not want to make another True Detective season just for the sake of it.

Bloys did not validate the rumors, but there are some reports emerging on the internet, which suggests the fact that Lucia Puenzo, who is credited with the creation of an Argentina-based drama show “Cromo, and Sam Levinson are the ones that have been busy with the ideas about the fourth season.

The third season of True Detective debuted on HBO in January of 2019 and ended in February of 2019. The series starred Moonlight and House of Cards actor Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff in the leading roles. The series was set in the Ozarks and was a slight improvement on the massive dip in quality in the second season, which saw Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch, and Vince Vaughn in the leading roles.

Of course, the second season had almost an impossible comparison of Season 1 to deal with. The first season is so philosophically rich that it has been considered a masterpiece by many. The two protagonists Rustin Cohle (played by Matthew McConaughey) and Marty (played by Woody Harrelson), have etched their names in the list of modern pop-culture icons. McConaughey’s character Rustin Cohle attained unfathomable accolades and has been considered the best performance of McConaughey’s career (even surpassing Dallas Buyers Club), if not the best character of the entire HBO’s history.

As we all know that one of the most awaited films from the MonsterVerse, Godzilla Vs Kong, is coming to the theaters very soon, many people want to know about a lot of differences between Peter Jackson’s King Kong and Legendary’s Kong: Skull Island. King Kong has a wide history in the cinematic world. He was introduced for the first time in the 1930s in one of the most revolutionary films with enhanced special effects ever made. Later, he would return to battle Godzilla in the 1960s. The film King Kong was remade in the year 1970. Peter Jackson also made a film on Kong in the year 1933 after The Lord Of The Rings. This film would be a retelling of Peter’s 1933 film. In this article, we have discussed the five biggest differences between Legendary’s Kong: Skull Island And Peter Jackson’s King Kong.

Biped VS Quadraped

In Jackson’s version, Kong has been portrayed as a gorilla with a huge size. As Andy Serkis is responsible for the motion capture performance, Kong fought and moved like an ape on all four limbs. This looks more realistic as Kong defeats and kills monsters by using his feet and hands. Also, the film Kong: Skull Island told the story of Kong in 1933. This Kong was partially portrayed by Toby Kebbell and has the ability to walk on two legs that seem like a humanoid. Kong was already given various martial arts fighting styles and skills to use the weapons, which were his environment.

Kong Does Not Fall In Love

The King Kong films do not show the only thrilling and adventurous part, but also show the tragic part of the character. The film King Kong by Peter Jackson kept the tradition going and shows the love of King Kong for Ann Darrow. The tragic part is the final moment of the film, in which King Kong dyes because of his love. This scene also shows Ann crying at the top of the Empire State Building. On the other hand, Kong: Skull Island is completely a different approach in which Kong has been shown as fighting and action-star. He has been shown fighting with a lot of monsters. He also saves Brie Larson’s Weaver in the climax of the film, but nothing else is there between them apart from being good friends.

The Natives Of Skull Island

The natives of Skull Island have been depicted by a night and day contrast between both the movies. The appearance of the natives shown in the version of Peter Jackson is unnatural in shape and seems to exhibit a pure nightmare fuel. On the other hand, the natives, Iwi, shown in the film Kong: Skull Island, are more peaceful. They have been shown as silent protectors of Kong. They also portray a Southern-Asian culture, which has never progressed throughout several years from huts and spears. The culture of Iwis is simple and very beautiful.

Dinosaurs And Titans

Every cinema-fan loves dinosaurs, and so Peter Jackson as he depicted the actions of dinosaurs in his King Kong version. Peter Jackson turned the Skull Island into a historic realm with the depictions of massive Brontosaurus stampede, Venatosauruses, and Venatosauruses Rex. A lot of bats, piranhadons, and bugs also depicted this. On the other hand, Kong: Skull Island introduced all different creatures. However, this film did not introduce any dinosaur but largely showcased a giant variety of fauna and flora. For example, the Spore Mantis and Bamboo Spider. Although the film Kong: Skull Island showcased a lot of giant creatures, Skullcrawlers, a reptilian Titans, is one of the biggest threats on the island.

Drastic Difference In Size

In the film Kong: Skull Island, Kong is certainly still childish and somewhere immature. In this film, the height of Kong has been shown 100 feet tall. You will be able to see his full size that is more than 300 feet tall, in the upcoming film, Godzilla Vs Kong. This is another difference in the Peter Jackson version of Kong, where the height of Kong is 40-50 feet. It is still considered to be a huge monster in the film as he defeats three V-Rex dinosaurs by himself.

This article concludes with some of the biggest differences that can be established between the Peter Jackson version of King Kong and the legendary Kong: Skull Island.

The new-look does look to be menacing, to say the least. Jared Leto’s new appearance is almost like a new avatar for him in character after his unsuccessful run in the 2016 film Suicide Squad, which has now been primarily pinned on the poor storyline and editing of the film.

Zack Snyder has revealed a “photograph” showing Jared Leto in the avatar of Joker, and now it is safe to say that the 2016 film was more of a commentary on David Ayer and his editing team rather than on his acting caliber.

Leto has shown with films like “Mr. Nobody,” “Dallas Buyers Club,” and more recently with “The Little Things” that he can deliver. If you ask fans, they would love Joaquin Phoenix to have another go at the character, but they certainly want to give Jared Leto another chance.

And, indeed, Jared Leto will get another chance to prove his metal and show that he deserves to be included in the list that has names like Heath Ledger, Jack Nicholson, and Joaquin Phoenix in it. Snyder revealed the look of Leto’s Joker for a promotional pitch of his upcoming HBO Max film titled “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” which would relay his original version of the film that was canceled because of his decision to step down from the post of director following tragic suicidal death of his daughter.

Joss Whedon stepped in, and in very light-hearted words, the 2017 film was not worthy of a watch.

Now, Zack Snyder promises that his 2021 version will omit Whedon’s version out of existence. Snyder has revealed some images of Jared Leto’s Joker to Vanity Fair as a part of a promotional campaign for his upcoming HBO Max film. If the images of Leto’s Joker are an indication of things to come, then Zack Snyder could very well instill a fresh wave of energy among DC fans.

Fans did not appreciate Leto’s character in the 2016 film, in which he was just an obscure and annoying partner to Harley Quinn, who had taken a sort of central seat in the scheme of things. Now, the new photo revealed by Zack Snyder alludes to the fact that he has every intention of fixing things.

The photo reveals that Joker might be found in Arkham asylum in the upcoming film, and by the looks of it, he looks very pissed off at somebody, if not the whole city of Gotham.

In the photo, the iconic character is back to his deranged best, wearing a hospital gown, that infamous make-up, and gloves.

It is needless to say that Leto’s version would be most definitely compared with Todd Phillips’ character (played by Joaquin Phoenix), and Christopher Nolan’s character (played by the late Heath Ledger).

Recently, Todd Phillips’ film Joker had been given a shower of accolades and a plethora of premier Academy Award nominations, which eventually saw Joaquin Phoenix winning his first Academy Award (Best Actor).

In the film, Batman and Joker would have a conversation inside Bruce Wayne’s dream, which would make him see things that can happen should the Justice League fails to stop Darkseid.
